A bout Gilly

My journey into floristry started 21 years ago more by accident than design when a friend suggested I enrol on a floristry course.  That was the start of what has turned out to be my dream job.  After spending 9 years honing my skills alongside a top London florist, I established my own creative Floral Design business in 2010 specialising in Bespoke Wedding Flowers.

I nspiration

Working from my studio at the bottom of the garden, I love designing & creating gorgeous florals packed full of texture & movement. Drawing my inspiration from nature & the ever-changing seasons, my style is very natural & relaxed, incorporating beautiful seasonal blooms & lots of interesting foliage in colour palettes that reflect the time of year.

I now take on only a select number of weddings every year, each one designed with the utmost care & attention to detail.

S ustainability

With my love of nature, I am constantly looking at ways of making my floristry business more sustainable.  Composting & recycling wherever possible has always been part of my ethos, but now I am turning my attention to finding more sustainable techniques to replace the use of floral foam.  Whilst most of the flowers I use are imported, I am looking to incorporate British flowers into my designs including ones we have grown on our allotment!
